Last night me and my boyfriend got in a fight and I walked somewhere he told me not to go and a man tried to rape me. I tried to call him at this time but he wouldn't answer. Then the guy ran because a car cam by. I went and took a shower and then he finally called me and I told him what happened. I think he is blaming himself for what had happened because he didn't answer. Now he is acting distant to me this morning and said he will just talk to me later. he didn't give me a hug or a kiss when he left for class. Remember we have been together for 3 years.

he probably does feel bad. i dont think he will leave he is probably just goin through a guilt trip nothing serious.... maybe he feels wierd cuz sum guy was trying to touch u.. idk good luck

Firstly go to the police and make a full report before you see news flashes of the same thing happening to a young girl/women except that she asnt as 'lucky' as you and she was murdered.
Secondly your boyfriend is probably in the state where he thinks it is his fault, because he couldn't protect you, hes also probably in a state of shock, so the best thing you can do is be there for each other, when he gets home from work you need to sit down and discuss what happened, and discuss how he feels as well.
Think about it this way, what doesnt break you up will just make you stronger.. so if you can both work together to get over this, how ever stong you thought your relationship was before.. its going to be 10x stronger.

So sorry to hear what happened to you. I find when you get into a fight your not clear where you go. That's what happens when I get upset. I DO HOPE YOU'RE OKAY? and I'm totally glad a car came by when it did...........excellent timing. I'm sure he feels BAD and may not know how to deal with what almost happened to you. You've been with him for 3 years and I don't think he plans to leave you. I think later when he comes home things will work out!

Well I think I would be more mad at him because he didn't pick up the phone, hopefully this wasn't intention though. However, if he were to leave over this then I would let him go. You two definately need to sit down and have a heart to heart. You two should discuss how to fight fair without having to leaving, or going anywhere alone.

He may just be trying to deal with the guilt of thinking it was his fault. He may just be upset that it happened to you and be blaming himself. Don't worry too much. If you have been together for so long I don't think that he will leave if he loves you. Just try and give him his space if he needs it.

He isn't going to leave over something like that, so discard that notion right now. It sounds like he is more angry at the guy who tried to assault you than he is at you. It's that angry love, like when a family comes and they notice their house has been broken into..the dad always has to get mad at his family to protect them.."Dammit Mindy, stay in the car..just, just stay in the car dammit while I check this out.!" You need to let him cool off and then you need to talk with him. I guarantee you he will tell you that he doesn't want you running off anymore when you fight..and thats because he loves and cares about you.

True love won't leave you because you were attacked by a criminal. Perhaps he's still upset over the fight before your attack. Open communication between the both of you will stimulate better control of your situation.

I doupt if he leaves. Right now he's dealing with himself he has feelings toward the situation that make him feel bad. He just needs some time to himself to think things over.

1 out of 2 he probably feels bad and just can't forgive himself or he doesn't believe u and his trying to figure out how to come to u and tell u what's on his mind.
