Definatly the local library!! Even if you have a nice study area in your own home that quiet you still have all the distractions there, your 100 times more likly to just pop downstairs for a drink, or qwickly check the latest sport news, or check the tv listings or do something because the option is there, available. How ever if you go to library it has a very educational atmosphere, where every 1 is working or reading, theres no chance of you relaxing in front of all those people, no chanve of poping into the kitchen to get a drink, or watchin tv as the library doesnt usualy have 1!!! I find its the best place to work, if i really need ot get my head down and get some work done i always head for my local library!!

Find a quiet place like your bedroom or study room where it is peace and no source of noise to divert your attention. Tell anyone who's around to leave you alone coz u want to study and want nobody to distract you because you want to focus and spend some time in calm. Make yourself a daily study schedule and so u can study accordingly to the list. Make yourself comfortable and concentrate on what you are doing. Never sit beside a tv, because your attention will be towards the tv rather than studying! One thing u must remmember when u study is that free your mind of all troubles. Be relaxed and tell yourself that while studying I am not gonna concentrate on anything but my work! That way it'll be easier! Good luck!

That depends on you to some extent. I used to like the top floor of the library at the University of York. It was light, airy and quiet. Some people like music in the background but I find it annoying. Generally you need good light, no distractions, a huge mug of tea/coffee, a few biccies or fruit (grapes are good) and ideally no computers (amazing how much time you can waste on computers) unless your study SPECIFICALLY requires a computer (for example writing a computer program or typing up an essay)

One with about 20% oxygen, 70% nitrogen and 5% carbon dioxide would be your best bet. Another important consideration would be the temperature, about 20ºC. Avoid distractions like loud music, sudden bangs like doors opening and closing, televisions and above all other people. For me there's nothing worse than half hearing a whispered conversation, or having to put up with someone sniffling, or blowing their nose, or coughing or scraping their chair on the wood floor, or yawning or farting or one of the many other irksome noises we humans make without really realising.
So, where's the best place to study? There isn't one. Just the lesser of many evils.
Your flat's out. Too cold, can't have the heating on all day.
Library? Forget it. Too hot. Too many people scratching, farting, coughing, sneezing and whispering (except maybe at the week-end).
Home? No way. Annoying siblings with t.v.s blaring and stereo pounding. Mum giving you the Spanish Inquisition about your latest boyfriend/girlfriend or why you haven't got one yet.
Better half's flat? Who studies when they are with their partner? Better things to do.
Like I said, there is no best place which is why we all end up with crap degrees.
Cheers!

A mixture of Oxygen and Nitrogen.
Seriously, if you have access to a quiet, comfortable, well lit room, with no distractions then that is the best atmosphere.
