For the past two nights I have heard a lot of arguing and cursing coming from my neighbor's house. I happened to look outside last night and saw my neighbors 15 year old daughter sleeping in the dog house. It was 10 degrees outside here. I was outraged. I went out their to talk to her and she said that her parents had put her out of the house for eating too many pork chops. I tried to get her to come into my house but she was too afriad. She didn't want her parents to be anymore angrier with her then they already were.
My husband told me that I need to shut up and mind my own business and let the neighbor's handle their own business with their own child. Should I continue to let the neighbor's put their daughter out of the house or should I contact someone about what is going on next door?

Contact someone immediately. The girl needs help. She is a human being, not a dog. She has rights and should not have to be treated like that. Well done to you for standing up to bully parents. Make that call now and help that young girl.

You should definitely not keep your mouth shut. As far as I'm concerned, when it comes to the welfare of a child, it's anybody's business. That is a horrible story and it needs to be reported. You need to call the police or social service. A lot of times though (at least in my state) social services give a warning call to the parents, so the parents keep the kid out of the dog house until the parents themselves are out of the dog house, so to speak. Then they go back to their old ways. So if I were you, next time you see this happening, I would call the police right away. And maybe throw in a call to social services. But, stick to it and make sure that that poor child doesn't have to spend another night freezing in the dog house.

Good luck and good looking out! :)

WHAT???
That is crazy - you need to either call the police or call Social Services. Please don't let that go unreported. Who knows what else is going on inside of the house, behind closed doors. If you ignore that, you are turning your back on someone who is in need of help. You can call the police and not give your name, if there was a lot of commotion and noise coming from the house then I guarantee you were not the only one to hear it.
That is the saddest thing I have heard all day - that poor girl.

Oh, that is so wrong. You really need to contact Social Services. You can file an anonymous complaint. The parents won't know who it came from. Although they might deny it, atleast you are st ease knowing that you did your part as a caring individual and what a law abiding citizen should do. And if they ever do it again. Get it on film. Whether she realizes or not.

some one needs to know about this matter. cause that is wrong to do a child like that. I think that you call that abuse. There is nothing that a child could have done to be put out side in the cold. what do you think will happen when that child gets enough of this abuse and turns to some one or something else for that security or safety that she needs.

Some one should call the cops on you for letting that girl stay out side last light and doing nothing !! If what you say is true and you let that girl stay out all night in the dog house and you knew it you are just as sorry as her mother. If the child died in the cold you should be liable and be charged accessory to the fact.

Call Child Protective Services or the Police. NOW, TODAY.

Call the child abuse hotline or local child protective services. Might call the police the next time you see her out sleeping in the dog house so they are caught in the act and can't deny it.

You NEED to call the police right now. Or call the police the next time you see the girl in the doghouse. Have the police come to your house so they don't alert the girls parents, and let them see for themselves that the girl is in the doghouse.
