i think it's ok to lose faith in your religion but not to lose faith in God.

even though most people have a religion, there will always be one God. if you don't feel like you want to be a part of the 'club'..its ok to be on your own.

i myself dont wish to be in a certain group. i don't go to temples or a mosque or a church but that doesn't stop me from remembering God.

God judge you through your heart..not which religion you're belong to. He (or she) is fair to everyone.

human invented religion. its more like a culture thing. parents teach stuff to their children..when the children grow up they pass the teachings to their children and so on.

religion isn't beneficial when people hate each other.

you don't need a religion to be closer to God (if you believe in God). there are many ways to remember Him..or Her.

look at the sky..the stars..mountains.. etc..see how amazing God's creation is...do things what seems right to you..help people, charities, can also bring yourself closer to God. so follow your heart, not the crowd.

People should have faith in God not faith in religion.

Always know this because I am telling you the truth when I say that even Christians will turn their back on you and abandon you but Jesus will never forsake you even in your desparate time of need if you will believe.

Don't put your faith in a church,in a preacher or even in a fellow christian but put your trust in the Lord for he is the one that can give you true peace and understanding.

Because religion separates people from God. Religion always sees God as a big judgmental white guy on a far off cloud called heaven.

This is about as far from the truth as you can get. Jesus said that the kingdom of the father is within you. Religion doesn't like that idea because they can't be the authority if that is true.

You can have a much closer relationship with God with out all of the limitations religion puts on your relationship.

Just try it without the religious nonsense for a while and you will see.

Love and blessings Don

We don't need it but some people feel better thinking they are chosen and superior, that they hold the secret of the universe. It's the same reason that you may want to join a private club, in the club they want you to pay a fee, with religion they want your "soul", your blind obedience. You may be as ethical or more so than many religious people without a religion.
Actually being religious blinds you to practical problems facing society such as prostitution or drugs. Their repression lead to more ills than their tolerance as the Netherlands example clearly shows. By the way in the Netherlands there is a high rate of atheists.
However in that atheist driven country handicapped people have the social right to sex. Sex workers visit handicapped men that so wish every month paid by Social Services. This is a very "christian" or should I say ethical and compassionate way to see the needs of your fellow man.
However we force prostitutes here to risk their lives without any protection, with police harassment instead.
Then we force addicts to steal or prostitute themselves with little treatment available and high drug prices as a result of a failed, futile and inhumane War on Drugs.
On top of that we christian country are so stupid as to be digging our own graves cause drug profits are paying for the bullets that terrorists put in the heads of our soldiers in Afghanistan and elsewhere. All of this cesspool of stupid pseudo-moral behaviour is a direct consequence of a rigid christian culture. As Darwin said if we don't adapt we will perish.

They shouldn't.

However if you're losing your faith because something bad has happened to yourself or people you care about then this is a poor reason to become an atheist.

The Qur'an teaches us that the human race is given an innate spirituality are inherent in human existence,
but this spirituality can betray us if it is not led in the right direction. To depend on a merely human
feeling of the guiding Spirit is dangerous. Many groups, even cults, claim to be guided by the spirit or
by God or by revelation, yet these groups hold divergent, even contradictory, beliefs. We find people
behaving in contradictory ways who claim nonetheless that each is doing the will of God. "I feel," they
say, "that the spirit guides and directs me."

A credible source of revelation is imperative. Throughout history Allah has selected particular
individuals to convey His message, to receive His revelation and to exemplify it for mankind

God provides us with the purpose of our existence and if we seek to do good it is the same as seeking to do the will of God. Your belief in God only has value in so far as you live your life according to His purpose for you.

How then do we know what is the will of God? That is where religion comes in. GOD has revealed His will through prophets. To find out what this is you need to study the revelation.

The Bible says that God is a God not of disorder, but of order, so it would make sense that his worshipers be an organized group of people. 1 Cor. 1:10. It is also a form of encouragement. Hebrews 10:24,25.
