God thinks to himself "If I create Adam and Eve and then allow the snake/Satan to tempt them, they will choose to eat from the tree."

Then he thinks "If they do, I can either doom humanity or let it slide."

Then he thinks "Maybe I shouldn't create them if I know they are going to eat from the tree. Or better yet, I'll just leave out the tree and the snake. That would solve a lot of problems"

Can you put yourself in god's shoes and imagine how he would look at the situation? Yes, you really can.

If God really knows everything and is all-powerful, and he let events play out the way that he did as some kind of "moral test", knowing the outcome before he started, he would have to have the mentality of an idiot or a dangerous psychopath.

I have a daughter who is three years old. When I come home from work she runs to me and throws her arms around me and tells me how much she missed me and then tells me all about her day. My daughter loves to be with me and that makes me so happy. I'm sure that as she gets older she won't come running when I get home from work. As a father I could tell her that she has to run and greet me at the door and tell me she loves me, but that would kind of cheapen the experience, wouldn't it? God didn't want to create men so they would have to love him, he wants us to choose to love him.
