I have a huge rib/shoulder blade/back, and a little on my stomach tattoo its of lillies, and I just have it outlined for now Im not sure yet if I should get it colored in or not. The lillies are star gazers and its a hot pink in the middle and white on the outside, I know they can't do white but they can do a lighter pink they said Im not sure what I should do. Do you have your tatoo colored in or just an outline? What is your tattoo of? Does the outline stand out better than colored?I have tan skin so I have to pick awesome bright colors if I ever got mine filled in. Do you think I should have mine colored in? I want your opinions

.....This one is a decision that is hard to make... Some black line looks great and color seems to take away from it and gray-wash looks fantastic. I have white in my dragon but my artists (and most artists) use white for highlights. My suggestion to you would be go somewhere like www.tattooartists.org click on tattoo by theme and then tattoos of plants.....they have a bunch of flowers of all types in all colors, shades and styles (and all of them nicely done) This site only accepts uploads from artists. You should also check out www.ratemyink.com This site will let anyone with a tattoo upload a pic.....a lot of them are fantastic and a lot of them realllllyyyyyy suck. But this will give you a chance to see what works.....and doesn't
good luck

I have four tattoos and they all have color! I love the color! To me, it makes my tattoos more feminine. I have a wolf (my clan), a dream catcher and a rather large Kokopelli on my shoulders. I have a star that is flared out with color and an "la". It stands for my name, Starla.

I love the colors and I do have some white in them. Make sure you get the best artist you can find before having the colors put in though.

That is the awesome thing about tattoos. It don't have to be the natural color you would expect for a flower. Use your favorite colors, Or tell the artist to "go off" and let him get creative.

Don't forget to show your tats, with pride.....

Edit: A tattoo can be white by the way. Just ask if it would work with your skin tone.

Depending on how tan your skin is (natural or from the sun or tanning bed) you could just go with gray shading.

there is nothing wrong with colors, but colors often fade more than just black, so think about that. but its prettier with colors! its up to you
