I have noticed that I have been just saying 'Morning!' in a relatively chipper way to the tenants of the building I work at the front desk of.

Would this appear rude? That is, me not saying 'Good Morning!' as though I was imparting a blessing for them to actually have a 'Good Morning' versus just a confirmation of 'well, this here is Morning! so be it!'

Words of thought?

I don't think people really pay that much attention to which one you use.It is the way you say it.As long as you say it in a "relatively chipper" way. When you just say "morning" it is informing them it is morning. It would be the same way if you worked later and said "afternoon" or "evening".
You are announcing the time of day to them. Most of them already know the time of day so maybe you should try and change it.
You have cut off the GOOD from morning. That says you might be experiencing some burn out on the job. That is one of the first signs. It is being too busy to greet them as you should. Perhaps you should change your entire greeting to perk things up. How about, "HEY!! What's going on?" OR "It's movin out there!" OR "Be careful today!" Anything is acceptable EXCEPT the old and tired, "have a good day".
My personal favorite is, "knock em' dead!" That covers the entire day and they can take in so many ways.
You really can be very creative. Use something different daily. That would be nice. See if anyone notices.

As someone who isn't a morning person, I prefer 'morning' over 'good morning'. Good afternoon, good evening, good night, sure, and I like the 'morning' as a greeting/acknowledgment, however there's usually nothing 'good' about it!

It's meant to be "Good Morning". The "good" is sometimes swallowed, but it's fine if it's just "Morning".

Rather you say "Morning" better you say "Greeting". Rather you say "Good Morning" bestly you have to say nothing.
