Lastnight I had this dream that my grandmother and I were in some sort of church for a funeral. As we made our way down the hall there were rosary's, satues of Mary and Jesus and jewlery. The were beautiful. I asked my grandmother to buy me one but she didn't. Then for some reason I drifted to where the Mary was and her lips began to move as if she wanted to tell me something, but I couldn't hear what she was saying. In my dream she wanted me to do something bad to her and I thought to myself this is the work of the devil. The devil allowed in the church? For some reason I wanted to say the Our Father. But something inside told me to say the Hail Mary. As I began saying it, these people or demonds tried stopping me. As I glanced down I seen % men laying on the ground. Two of them on eachside had their eyes open and the other's closed. What does this mean? I don't go to church anymore. I'm a catholic. I've been baptised, had my first communion and was confirmed.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

The "Hail Mary" is for the intercesion of Mary on behalf of your prayers. You have raised some interesting points in your posting. I will offer you the position of the church. You schould talk with either a Priest or Psychologist/Psyciatrist. Talking with a professional, will help to clearify your thoughts, seek guidence and think the process through.

Demons only has one "d." I don't know exactly what your dream meant. If you want to know if it was from good or from evil, what is the fruit (results of, how do you feel now) that this dream has given you? Are you closer to God now, or further away? In that question you will find your answer. I also suggest you study the Word, pray, and talk to some other good Christian counselors about this.
God bless!
