I've tried just washing my face with soap + warm water, just water, and many other things. Nothing seems to be working, and my mum won't take me to the doctors because she doesn't like me taking tablets. And my skin is VERY sensitive, and most spot creams give me rashs... any help? Please... thanks.

I don't mean to be disrespectful to anyone else answering, but I wouldn't listen to any of the theories of what you should eat etc. I have acne and tried virtually everything. The only thing that helps clear up my skin is antibiotics. I would try and convince your mum to take you to the Doctor. I have included a link to a UK site which gives info on acne and treatment: http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/articles/article.aspx?articleId=4§ionId=23427

I used to have really bad acne too - sucks doesn't it? I'd try using a good skincare make, like Clinique - their clarifying lotion is very good. As your skin is sensitive, don't put on loads of products - it'll only make it worse. Soap is drying and probably is agravating the situation. Drink plenty of water and avoid touching your face too much. If things don't improve, go to your doctor, who can recommend topical creams. If still nothing works, then talk to your mum and tell her just how much this is getting you down, and how you've tried everything else. Hang in there - you'll probably find things will go away on their own eventually, but in the mean time just do what you can. NEVER squeeze - you'll only cause scarring that will stay forever.

It really depends on your skin type.

First of all drink plenty of boiled water from the kettle with a slice of lemon for extra taste. You can drink cold water if you wish but boiled is best. This helps you get rid of spots and blemishes on your face.

Exfoliate your face once or twice a week and always pat your face dry. Dont rub as this irritates your spots. On the other days use a moisturising soap as this wont dry out your skin.
Experiment with different spot clensers and pick one you feel works best.
Try not to eat too much sugary foods like chocolate. Fresh fruit and vegitables are good for the skin and are better than any spot product.

Hope this helps!

Nag your mum to take you to the doctor. There is nothing worse than having spots. Doctor's don't just give you tablets. There are creams and lotions too. If she really won't take you, go talk to a pharmacist. I put up with bad skin for years, I would defintely suggest going to a doctor. It may take a while to find what works for you but you will! I did! Try washing with an oil free facial wash (Simple or Neutrogena) and then use an oil free moisturiser. Hope you find something that works!

I am 35 years old, my daughters are 17 & 13 and we all use Clientelle facial oils, facial wash, Lotus Flower Serum, and night & day cream. We all suffered really bad with spots and since we have being using these products (using them for only 6 weeks) they have cleared up completely. We noticed a change to our skin within the first week. If you buy them from the source below you have 30 days to try them and if you feel they aren't suiting you, you can return them for the full price of the product, you will lose the p&p but its worth it.

The condition of our skins depends hugely on what we put in out stomachs. Lots of takeaways and fast foods will do your skin no favours.
You need to eat at least 5 portions of fresh fruit and veg throughout the day and drink at least 2 litres of water.
Increase your fibre intake and lower the fats and sugars. Stay off E-numbers and artificial preservatives.
I recommend Nettle tea, this can be bought in Health Food Shops and it's 2-3 cups per day sweetened with a little honey.Drinking it will cleanse your blood of toxins and help clear the spots up.

cucumber juice.
drink cucumber juice daily - great for skin. you will notice difference in a week.

don't use soap .

find a mild face wash without chemicals, try a herbal shop.

on rash apply cold milk - yes milk, on a cotton pad hold over the redness - remedy from India beauticians

don't wear foundation - if you must find one that "breathes" and don't paste it on. - no make up is better.

email me for more info.
good luck

my sister(14 yrs at the time) suffered from bad acne and after trying lots of different types of medicated soap, the doctor put her on the contraceptive pill and now she barley gets one spot, this also worked for my 16 yr old cousin.
Ask your doctor....the pill works for many types of problems not just to prevent pregnancy.
