If you don't like him or you can't work it out and he still won't leave you alone then it's time for stronger measures. Tell him if he doesn't stop what ever he is doing that you can go to the police.
You can always have a court ordered restraining order put on him and if you want to make it even worse, announce it publicly so everyone knows it.

I had the same problem... and I threatened the police on them if they didnt leave me alone... it worked... also if he is emailing or calling dont even read the emails or text or answer the phone.. he sees the attention as you liking him still... and the more you answer the longer it will take to get him to go away...
Happy wednesday and good luck!

i ive in a very small town. after my ex and i broke up he harrassed me for 17 months....late night phone calls, obnoxious phone calls, stopping by at like 1 a.m., showing up at my place of work to "talk"...that sort of stuff.
finally i told him that in such a small town, the last he wanted was to have people know there was a restraining order out against him.
he stopped.

I don't know how you broke the news to this guy, but maybe you haven't been a blunt as you've been on here. You can't be nice to this guy because obviously he isn't getting the picture. If he is stalking you report him.
