i like this guy for quite some time and we've only exchanged mails for around half a year..not on a regular basis though cause the both of us were really busy. and i got really tired of communicating through emails..so i dropped him my number and told him to msg me when he's free. honestly speaking,i wasn't expecting anything.i thought he'll say "ok" or something like that. but he gave me his number as well!should i be happy that he gave me his number?i know since he gave me his number as well,he doesn't mind keeping in touch with me but shouldn't he give me his no. earlier on instead of waiting till i give mine?

Is there some kind of higher intelligence or something that declares that the guy has to give you his number is so certain amount of time? If there is, I've never heard of it and I don't think anyone else has either. Your guy friend was a little apprehensive and shy until you gave him you number then the kid gloves were off.
You asked if you should be happy, why shouldn't you be? You got his number and he has yours, the next step is to start dating and that sounds like something to be happy about to me.

Yeah, I think your overanalyzing the whole situation. The fact that he gave you his is all that matters, not when or how. He wouldn't give it to you, if he really didn't want you to have it. Although I would give it time so that he calls you, after a few days of no emails (or calls) I would call him up. Good luck.

You should be happy! Its a big deal for a girl to give a guy his number becasue usuayll guys are known to drop their number. U did the right thing and although it wasnt necessary becasue i know that he will call u.

He wants to talk to you and might be waiting for you to call him first. I'd be happy in his shoes but it's hard to be happy in yours cuz well I'm a guy. LOL. good luck tho there girl. hopefully it all works out. quit worrying about the small stuff too and let love hopefully true love take its course.

maybe he is just shy and seeing what you wanted out of the relationship. why is it up to him to trade phone numbers earlier?? yes you should be happy you seem to be looking to hard into things, you have his number and he has yours. thats a good thing, good things make ppl happy, so be happy!!
