how do i buy speakers?

I want to buy some bass for my car, but I don't know where to start and I also don't want to get ripped off. Can someone help me. I like my muzik loud. haha I'm serious. Someone help me. I'm lost.

For bass, you will need 3 things. Subwoofers, a box to put them in, and an amplifier to power them.

Subwoofers : Decent brands at reasonable prices that I know of include JL Audio and Crossfire. I recommend 2 ten inch subwoofers. They should be enough for you. Tens are accurate and hit hard. Twelve inch subs give you boom but they loose accuracy and sound better outside the car.

Boxes. There are a lot of pre-made boxes out there but if you have extra $$$, it's best to have one custom made to the manufacturer's recommended specifications. If you want the bass to hit hard, use a box. I prefer accuracy, so I did a free air install in my ride. your choice.

Finally, the amplifier. An proficient and honest salesperson can recommend what kind of power you will need, It's best to go with a known brandname, such as Alpine or Rockford Fosgate, or Kenwood, maybe a Sony.

A quality installer is important too if you don't know how.

Rules of thumb : you get what you pay for.
Shop around. Find a place/salesperson you can trust.

You need to find some woofers that have a high RMS with an amp that matches. E-mail me for more info. NEVER LOOK AT THE PEAK WATTAGE OF A SUBWOOFER OR AMPLIFIER. THEY ARE POINTLESS IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR LOUD!!
