Exercising and dieting is the right track to do for sure. The other thing you really need to focus on it how big your meals actaully are when you eat. Honestly, you can eat only fruits and vegetables for a diet, but if your portions are large.....you won't get anywhere. Fruits & veggies have calories too. You ask how much weight you'll lose if you stay on a fruit & veggie diet.....that nobody can answer, becasue everyone's body is different....I'm sure if you exercise 3 or 4 days a week, and eat a healthy (but using good portions) diet....you'll do good, and results will occur. I would suggest though, be sure you eat some meat & dairy products. They have esential vitamins & minerals that fruits and vegetables do not have. USE GOOD PORTIONING! Although, make sure when you exercise for more than 20 minutes. It takes the human body roughly about 20 minutes of activity to actually "burn" (or begin using) the stored fat as energy. The first 20 minutes, it's using the calories that are currently in your system. Did that make sense? Also, try to eat throughout the day. If you eat just a small meal in the morning, and then a small meal at night.....you're matabolism will slow down. If you are eatting throughout the day, your metabolism is "forced" to work, because of food being in the body. Also, which is very important....mind/will power, you really need to keep your focus on being determined. You will not see results instantly, it will take time.......not sure how much weight you're wanting to lose, but it will probably take a few months or longer. I hope this helped. It was a lot of info, but if you have more questions.....contact me--all my info is listed at that info page thing. Good luck!
I just noticed some people said that's a lot of walking, blah, blah, blah. Walking is actually a GREAT exercise.....it's actually better than jogging. Reason why is because of less aggervation to the joints. If you power walk.......it's that much better. The major difference between the walking and jogging thing is building stamina. If anything........keep up the walking...and jog maybe a mile--switch it up. You'll be using different muscles for different exercises.......even between walking & running. If you have a bike or roller blades....use them too!

You're really doing quite the exercise! However, I don't think a diet of fruit, vegetables and water will provide the energy you need to walk all those steps. I've had some of a weight problem myself, and what I did was to eat three to four times a day, "normal" food, with a blind fold on. Then I couldn't see how much food was on the plate, and only ate until I was satisfied. And it worked! And best of all, I didn't get cranky or had cravings.

That's a lot of walking.
You might want to consider switching some of the walking for other kinds of exercise.
As far as your diet, if you are serious about losing weight, start by cutting the portions that you eat, and replacing fatty and other unhealthy foods with healthy alternatives. For example, instead of eating the entire hamhock, eat a granola bar instead!

yes you will loose weight by combining eating veges and fruits and lots of walking but keep this in mind that you need to consume some protien too for you to replace the fat with muscle and maintain a healthy you,and it depends on how tall and young you are,if your 5''5-5''9 and weighs 190 lbs and above you need to lower it down to at least 155 lbs. and if your 5''9-6''0 and weighs 250 lbs. if you can lower it down to 175 lbs you are a stunner, bear this in mind im 6''0 plays football in highschool as center i use to weigh 325 lbs,it only took me 8 months to loose 120 lbs by working hard in the gym and by eating responsibly, last week i just won my 2nd bodybuilding trophy as an overall champion in nevada,so keep doing that 10 mile walk it will help you a lot in along run and will help become a new and healthy you just dont forget to eat responsibly and good luck

Yes with this much of walking and the kind of diet you are mentioning you are bound to lose weight and lose it fast. However it is not possible to exactly quantify how much weight you will lose as it depends on various factors which differ from one person to another.

You should edit your question there, I have no idea what you are saying or asking.
Think of quality, not quantity. It doesn't matter how many steps you are walking - what matters is how hard you are pushing yourself to get your heart rate up and making that walk really worth it to burn those calories and get your metabolism up to shed those inches and pounds.
I could slowly and relaxingly walk 10 miles easily, but it will be more benificial to me if I briskly walk or even jog those 10 miles instead.
