I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism myself. Before I got placed on medicine, I was sluggish, moody, tired, had no energy, and stressed. Hypothyroidism can cause many problems...Such as:
hair loss
coarse/dryhair
weight gain/problems losing weight
weakness
dry skin
cramping in the muscles
irritability
depression
changes in women's cycles
It's even thought to play a part in women having recurrent miscarriages!!!

Try the website below... it helped me to understand a lot of what I was going through. Good luck to you!!!!!

Yes, they would. The depression and anxiety could actually be caused by the underactive thyroid. Use of Armour thyroid can usually help with these symptoms if it was caused by the thyroid See some links below

100% yes.....infact some women who are diagnosed with under-active thyroid disease find that once they get their levels of thyroxine right that there depression can abate entirely. I had depression for years (turned out I also have an undiagnosed under-active thyroid too) once I commenced treatment and got to the right level for me my depression got so much better that I was able to come off the anti-depressants id been taking for a while. Ask your GP about the links and you could also search the web...trust me the two can go hand in hand and make the other worse. Goodluck

Depression can be caused by an underactive thyroid, as well as a number of other psychiatric conditions. Consult your doctor as s/he will be able to treat your thyroid and monitor your other problems more closely, with medication/counselling if required.

Thyroid disease is one of the most common health problems we face today. From a practical standpoint, there are many ways to approach this issue. Learn here https://tr.im/2lXoJ

Hypothyroidism, or underactive thyroid, is a very common problem, and there are many reasons for this, including drinking chlorinated and fluoridated water, and eating brominated flour.

Chlorine, fluoride, and bromine are all in the same family as iodine, and can displace iodine in your thyroid gland.

Secondly, many people simply aren't getting enough iodine in their diet to begin with. The amount you get from iodized salt is just barely enough to prevent you from getting a goiter.
