Ezekiel 18:20 The soul that is sinning-it itself will die.

The human is a soul. You are probably referring to the changed or resurrected spirit person, who was a human, as no human will ever be mortal. The ones who get a spirit body, will also receive immortality.

1Corinthians 15:53 For this which is corruptible must put on incorruption, and this which is mortal must put on immortality.

When the saints are given spirit bodies, they will be immortal like God and Jesus. (Apparently the angels are not immortal)

AS far as I know God gives the faithful these bodies and no doubt he can see into forever and know that these will continue faithful, so that your question will never be experienced.

But he definately has the power to destroy one. But, immortality is a gift. It means that these will not have to depend on God's provisions for life. Apparently they will not need to 'eat.'

Manna was angel food, according to the Psalms.

Immortal can be defined different ways i.e. immortal may mean that unless killed or destroyed that it will live forever, it could also mean that it is not able to be killed or destroyed. Generally the first interpetation is the most common. Given this, yes an immortal soul could be destroyed.

This individual soul is unbreakable and insoluble, and can be neither burned nor dried. He is everlasting, present everywhere, unchangeable, immovable and eternally the same.
For the soul there is neither birth nor death at any time. He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing and primeval. He is not slain when the body is slain.
As God is eternal, we are also eternal because we are part and parcel of God. As God is always blissful, jolly, similarly our nature is always blissful and jolly. That is our nature. Therefore we want to live. We do not wish to die.
It should be understood that all species of life, are made possible by birth in this material nature, and that God is seed-giving father. As a father is affectionate to his children, God is affectionate to His parts, we the soul, actually, the affection that is manifested in this world in form of love, is a reflection of the real love that God has for all His children.

HE won't have to. In the end HE will send it to Heaven or to HELL. I hope that you are in the right line and on the right route. The other one will be the LoSt. Study these scriptures and see what you think. To become a Christian:
HEAR - Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
BELIEVE - To the Prison guard in Acts 16:31 Paul and Silas said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
REPENT - Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent.
CONFESS CHRIST - Matthew 10:32 "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.
BE BAPTIZED - Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
CONTINUE TO BE FAITHFUL - Revelation 2:10b Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Send me a note if you have questions. I am anxious to hear from you. Have a Great day.

The question is in error since God's purpose is to save soul's not to destroy them.

Yes, God cannot destroy a soul, not because He lacks the power to do so, but because doing so would contradict His own will and His own plan.

There is no such thing as the soul. Something that doesn't exist can't be immortal. The term 'immortal' is nonsense, since any "living" thing can die. Other wise you are making your terms meaningless. Alive is not dead and Death means the end of life - there is no 'immortal'.

Free will cannot be compromised. That is rule number one and even "God" is bound by it so nothing can destroy a "soul" that has made the choice to incarnate.

Go with the laws of science....the soul is the energy of life...energy is by the laws of science neither created nor destroyed...it can be transferred and converted to other forms of energy but the balance remains....so the soul is not destroyed.....
