Ive been dating this guy for 9 months and we have a lot a great times, but for some reason I always feel like he resents me in a weird way. Hes mixed and Im white, I dont have a problem with it at all. In fact I love him to death and I think hes gorgeous. Whenever we fight its like an explosion out of him. I also dont understand why hes is so controling and wants to run every part of my life. Ive never been with anyone like him before usually im the one running the show LOL but seriously I want this to work Any advice on how to work things out so we dont end up hurting each other? Are there certain things I have to do with him that I dont with white guys?

Dont sacrifice how you love for him stay who you are, sit down and talk to him and tell him how you really feel. If he loves you he will cooperate with you

Sigh.

I hope that you see past his color.....really. Him being mixed has nothing to do with his explosive/controlling behavior.

If you feel that he resents you, then why may I ask are you still with this guy?

White, black, or any variation of the two has nothing to do with the fact that maybe you two just aren't cut out for each other.

I think the fact that you are used to being the dominant one in a relationship has turned you on your ear and sent you reeling.

Evaluate the situation and talk to the guy. If you feel resented, than I think you should find a more fulfilling relationship.

Good Luck!

men are men...there is nothing easy about them. some men like to feel in control (i guess it makes them feel more manly or something) but a lot of men like to call the shots...just tell him that you dont want him to control your life and need some things for yourself...i think he'll appreciate the honesty.
