Not a lot you can have various spam filters that stick them in a special file which you can check and empty every now and again. There was some talk of making a charge of say 0.1 of a penny for each e mail sent. Not a problem to most users but it may well stop those spammers in their tracks. I don't know what is happening about that.

Most email accounts have some sort of 'block list' where you simply type in the email address that you don't want to receive emails from and you won't get any more from that address.
It is actually really handy as most of the spam mail you get is from the same origin.
Hope this helps!

Use multiple e-mail addresses and abandon the ones that get too stuffed. Tell your friends to send you e-mail in BCC mode, and always remove address histories before forwarding e-mail.

If you forward them to each other - they might be able to filter out forwarded emails, and all that will be achieved is the increase of revenues for ISP's.

you can also try unsubscribing yourself from there mailing lists.

open the mail and there should be a link down the bottom asking if you want to unsubscribe.

if they don't have it try sending them an email asking to be removed from there mailing list.
Its worked for me in the past.
