Make sure you can get their phone numbers and addresses before you move so you can write them. Emails are OK, but not personal. Writing or sending a post card is much better. If you know exactly when your last day of school will be take a camera to school with you and take photos of your friends so you have pictures. It is always nice to have photos of your old friends. No matter how hard you try, people always drift apart. So, just try and make some new friends at your new school. Remember, moving isn't that bad. Starting a new school can be great! If you were always too shy to try out for a team at your old school you can do it at your new school. If you were not popular at your old school, the kids at the knew school don't have to know that! You could be the most popular guy at your new school in no time!

When I was 13(which was 2 years ago) I had to move in another city, far away from the first one I lived in.I had friends there and they are still my friends but it's not the same.It was a little difficult time and here is how I got over it.We kept in touch - by chatting on the PC,by emails,by letters and phone calls. And I made new friends in the new city. That's the only way.You just have to understand that it won't be the same and get used to the new situation.

Yes! Its always painful to leave friends!! But life demands unexpected moves and you have to cope with it. Dont worry, your ttitude clearly indicates that you will many more friends at your new place also, that too quickly( You are a positive personality!!). Keep in touch with your old friends through net or other communication medium.Give some unexpected call to them so that they also feel grateful in your gesture!! Inturn, they will also keep in touch with you. Still, some moments, you will feel the void, then think of the golden moments you had with your friends!!!! Wish you a speedy recovery from your darker momnts!!!!

By keeping in touch with them by computer, phone, and snail mail. Also, making new friends helps. I went to 4 different schools from kindergarten to 12th grade. Of course back then it was by snail mail or phone only.
