I live in London and was surprised to see a butterfly in my kitchen at the end of January. What’s next, swarms of Locust devouring our crop circles this summer?

If this warming continues, we might also see elephants walking down Piccadilly Circus in January! :)

Could it have been a moth? And yes, Locust are able to fly long distances to reach their goal. On the other hand, they usually go for the field and avoid the crop circles except to rest before their next flight. Fun question.

Butterflies are an indicator species so the presence of it is surely interesting. I don't know if you will know or not but is it a resident species or a migratory one?
