Chinese restaurant food is loaded with grease, and salt. The foods commonly served in Chinese restaurants is not the same thing Chinese people eat at home. Chinese people get fat just like everyone else. They just seem slimmer to you because you believe they are and therefore ignore the thousands of overweight Chinese you've seen. It isn't any different than how a racist can only see the bad in the people they dislike.

When I lived in China, I lost a lot of weight, and I gained a lot of weight when I returned. Part of it was walking/biking vs. driving, but the food does play a role. I think the main health benefit is:
1. Less sugar (they put a little into cooking, but don't eat sweet sweets as much)
2. Fewer carbs (they eat some rice at the end, but the carbs aren't the main part)
3. Fewer portions
4. No diet drinks. US is filled with diet drinks and yet people gain weight because their mind is triggered to want more sweets and thus see #1.

No. Chinese people are small because the drink chinese tea with their meals, and also because they drink hot water throughout the day instead of water at room temperature. This helps increase their metabolism which helps them digest the food better and lose weight faster when they work out!

most chinese poeple eat their foods at home. they cook it with less grease or in some cases they boiled it. they rarely eat out. in case of the people living in Hong Kong, after eating they always walk around the city burning up the calories they consumed. si chinese people are thin but not most of them are thin there are some overweight chinese that you have not noticed but some of the chinese people living in china or in other countries are actually overweight you just haven't seen them yet.

The Chinese food that they serve here is the states isn't real chinese food! It's americanized to fit are grease fatty taste. Real chinese foods consists of rice, fresh veggies, fish, and poultry...nothing really is deeped fried....

It's because of all the rice. A small amount of rice goes a long way, because it expands. Making you less hungry. And, eating the hot chicken and things, makes you lose weight, because hot food makes your body hot which acutaly burns calories. And also, in their diet are alot of veg's and fruits. :] Hope that helped.

Chinese people are thin mainly because they dont eat so much and because of genetics. Alot of them cook their own food. very few chinese people eat all the time at the fast food places. if ever. there is alot of grease( aka FAT) in the chinese food. so alot of them suffer from high cholesterol.
