Who thinks we should abandon reconstruction efforts in Iraq and let the local political factions sort it out?

There needs to be reconstruction...but not by USA contractors..The Iraqis need work..we should pay to rebuild till they get their economy moving again . If they had jobs and the economy was better there would be alot less hard feelings and free time for mischief, Should settle things down and make it safer for getting the oil !

Not me. While completely against the war in the first place, and glad that our prime minister in Canada did not go along with it (as an aside, it's a myth put forward by the Bush administration that the entire world thought that Saddam had WMDs so that it copuld be blamed on an "intelligence failure"; Hans Blix, the UN weapons inspector who had been involved right up until the decision to invade insisted, insisted, and insisted that there were not, from his own investigations on the ground - and some of us were listening), nevertheless, the current problems are the direct result of the American invasion and I believe they have a moral responsibility to restore much of what they have destroyed.

Take every American out of Iraq and let the Democrats start over - if there is a National Security Problem then it can be addressed ! The Democrats should not have to solve an impossible problem that the Republicans created !
