I got My W-2 from work last week and I put it on the table. Well, my husband just saw a piece of paper and threw it away not knowing what it was. Now I don't know what to do. Will they send me another one?? How long will it take??

Sure, they have an extra copy for you....just ask them, they should be able to send it out to you right away.
Awesome that your hubby cleans up....don't be too upset with him!

Just ask your employer for another copy. Depending upon how they generate W2s at your job it could take anything from a few minutes to a couple of weeks.

I've had this same problem in the past, but with a bank statement of interest payment. I just called them ASAP and I got it within a few days. I learned my lesson for sure, now I have a file that all tax papers go in as they come in the mail... it helps for sure!

Ask your employer for a copy. It should not take very long.
