Although I admire your patriotism, and that is becoming rare nowadays, I don't think walking in the streets of Iran waving the US flag would be the healthiest endeavor these days!! But if I knew we could get away with it, I'd join you!

Well what do you think would happen to the chap or chapess wearing Persian garb walking down the street in the US shouting "Allah is King"?

I will be with you in spirit...but I will not join you.
Please be ready to encounter difficulties even getting there. I'm sure the State Dept. will do all they can do dissuade you, the same with every country you must pass through to your destination...they will all ask you to reconsider.
Please be sure to have all your affairs in order prior to leaving, including money to have remains (if found) shipped back home in worst case scenario.
I'm not trying to be funny...or scare you. Just looking at things objectively.
