Oh boy! I screwed up a few times too - don;t we all? But I didn;t need to turn to god to put things right.

collective224 - when i die i will cease to exist. Any other possiblity is not logical and has never been proven, even slightly.

kajitu, I'm not an american, but why that makes a difference i wouldn't know ;-)
I don;t need god because there is not a god to need. Religious feelings are deep-rooted in some people, and not in others. I am not criticising belief (although i find belief bizarre and illogical) I am merely asking what people think. Ho hum, as it were...

Perhaps the question is reversed here -- Does God need ME? NO
I know what the word GOD means -- at least a little bit. Since I know English
and word definitions, it's OBVIOUS that I need GOD.
Perhaps if I did not know what a word meant, I might say -- I don't need atoms, do you? But if I used the word and spelled it -- it would seem very
strange to make a statement like that and ask such a question.

Well, a lot of people ned god, either to make fun of, ask quetions of, beg, borrow, deal with, get by in life, etc. Whether any of these are legitimate needs is another questions, or whether god tends to even be more than something we make up to deal with out lives.

If you feel like you don't need god, perhaps you don't, but pay attention to how some religions and their applications (bear in mind NOT ALL) are good prods to help us make ourselves better people. Perhaps we don't need god, but religion can be a good excuse for betterment.

I not only need God but I want God to be in my life. I feel bad when I see the messages saying people can live without God. Maybe in this life(although your struggles will be great.) but not in the life hereafter. An eternal everlasting life without suffering and pain. You will only have that life if you believe. Why wouldn't you want to have a personal relationship with the one who created you??? If you do it will be the best thing you could have ever done for yourself and your life..

I'll be the first to admit that I am screwed up and I do need God. He is the only firm foundation in this messed up world.

Hey pumpkin, you could not live without God! He is the master mind behind all of your bodily functions, from the regulation of your temperature to the lubrication of your joints and every single mechanism of your being. Do yourself a favor and read a human physiology book..you will know that it must be God running this fabulous bod of mine!

God is within you, of course you need it. I say it because you are part of the God Source. Look within you and you will find you need that little voice inside that tells you what is right and wrong regardless of what you were taught. When you find it you will find that you do need God.

Need? No. I wouldn't mind having all these people answer
some of my questions though. (Wow. Is that all you have to do.
Ask a 'God' question. Are you the God of Yahoo! Answers, dude?
Lol)

If you didn't have God, you wouldn't exist to be able to wonder about such things.
Anyway, be grateful for being, God doesn't need us to survive, and it's only when we die that we'll understand how much we need(ed) him!!
God only wants us to do our best and be good, thats worth more than any amount of talk about how much you love him or believe in him!

yes a need God for without God my life don' have any meaning. and is this not a typical american who thinks they don need God ask your self does God need you?? does God need america or do america need God?? i believe that you need God for without God you will be nothing you need God to breathe live walk and even love and be loved. the breath of life you got did you give tha to yourself?? no the bible says that God breathed into mans nostrils and man became a living soul. think of the blood that flows in your veins did you know that if that blood flowed a little faster than normal in your veins you would die. God has moderated the movement of everything in your body. now tell me do u need God??? a know i do. every day that i live for when i go to bed something happens i die to the world till his grace and mercy wakes me up every morning. do you make your own days. is your own life in your hands?? can you forgive your own sins?? do you breathe your own air or does God provide for you. do you make your own rain?? there you have it you need God. america and the rest of the world needs God. even the muslims hindus and all the other religions need God without God we are nothing. you need repentance ell God to forgive you and he will and also come in your life and change it for the better.
