Way back when I was a bit younger, I always believe toward the question asked above to be true. Until then, when I found out from a particular website that it's just a conspiracy, that's the time I began to wonder. Moreover, it also stated that it's one of the science stuffs which has been wrongly conceptualized. Do you have any idea in line with matter that would eventually clear me up? Your insights are highly appreciative and I want to thank you all in advance :)

You are right. That is just an old wives' tale. Colds are actually caused by contact with the virus secreted by other sufferers. Hand - washing is the best way to prevent colds.

People in hot climates also suffer colds so I doubt it can be so easily explained. When I was younger and got rained on, my gran would insist I have a cold shower immediately I got in and not rap up until my body temperature adjusted to the indoors to help keep the cold away (it worked most times and I am not prone to colds cause I still try and keep a constant body temperature). I believe colds can be associated with drastic changes in body temperature but they are also contagious.
