I live alone so mine is generally on all of the time when I am home.

The TV is on all the time if my husband is home...he loves ROB TV (or any other financial program). If it is just me, generally the radio is on with talk shows to keep me company while doing my work. The TV, however, goes on by the news in the evening and stays on til bedtime.

at night i use the sleep timer on the TV so it will shut off 40 minute after i'm in bed
