When we pray for forgiveness we repent and then allow God to make the changes in us.Those of us who are Christian have accepted the atonement and resurrection of Christ and through this faith we say we are now new creatures and we are not under the penalty of the law but are changed. We now by faith say that the man of sin is considered dead having been nailed to the cross with Christ and resurected in newness of life to worship God in spirit and truth. This does not mean that we are law breakers but that we follow the laws of God now because we have been made new. Now if we stumble we are not sinners but it is sin that is in our flesh and in the world but we can not give ourselves over to sin. If we are sinners we are not made new but under the law and judged accordingly. I recommend Romans Chapter 6.

Neither saint or sinner guy should be One chains you up, the different contraptions you loose. Being human with faults is the position it really is at it truly is how we study,on Yahoo Chat. Oh I take it again,i do not decide on to be a sinner, I purely replied a question, i decide on to be the winner.

I agree with everyone who answered previously. I know someone who goes to church regularly and has done horrible things to a lot of people (still does), while proclaiming her love for God. It sickens me but I just remember that 'What's done in the dark is brought forth in the light.' They just don't understand what it means to be repentant. Just because they ask for forgiveness doesn't give them freedom to commit 'evil' over and over...There has to be true regret and a repentant heart to overcome...

Well true, if you don't have honest repentance in your heart, if you think that just by saying a prayer you're "good to go" then I agree, what is the point?

What did Paul say about this? Should we all sin then and let grace abound? God forbid!!

There are very few saints in this world. Almost none.

The more people sin, the more they pray ; they may think this will remove the sin they have done.

It is a suspicion of mine that evil people don't pray very much, or they pray too much. Just a hunch.

some people believe that because god forgives that they have free reign to sin when they want as they will be forgiven but we also have gods grace and that comes before sin or after repentance it doesnt mean free reign to do what we want

They need to be praying to be free from sin if that's their problem.
