My absolute favourite one is working on the cross-trainer. It imitates cross-country skiing (not on slope skiing down), which is really demanding. You can also adjust the resistance so you have to work harder. It moves every muscle in your body, and you can alternate: you could use your upper body predominantly to work the machine for 5 minutes then you swap and use your lower body predominantly to move it for another 5 minutes, then alternate. There's no impact injury as with running so your knees, hips and other joints are not strained. It's great, you can burn off quite a lot of calories with it. It's not only a cardio workout but also good for strengthening your muscles. Give it a go!

This depends on your goals:
If your goal is any kind of weight loss:
Any "continuous" form of cardiovascular ex. Like aerobics, you must keep Heart rate in aerobic zone at lest 30 minutes 4-5 days per week. Weight lifting is NOT just for getting big muscles!! It will tone and firm what is under the fat. Imagine losing 50 lbs of fat and just looking like a smaller version of what you started with!! EEEKKKK
Also you are what you eat, AND how much of it!! But if you stop eating you will give up muscle... so just what your momma always says... Eat Right and Exercise.
I LOVE kick boxing (like Tae bo) Just make sure you are doing it right!

I walk my dog gently every day sometimes, one, two or three times a day. Swimming is excellent for the body. Running is probably the last place to start because unless your body is used to it you could damage your body. Building up first, walking, walking and swimming, then power walking into jogging then running. Good Luck

The best exercises are cardio-vascular based. They help keep your heart, veins and arteries healthy, reduce weight, and give an all around lean, healthy appearance.

swimming works well. it helps all muscles in the body and is quite theraputic also...

if you're thinking about toning your stomach it's better to do crunches instead of sit ups!

Hope this helps...

Walking. It keeps your circulation going well and also gets you a lot of fresh air, which you don't get in a gym.
