I am very interested in science and technology which has taken me away from fables to reality. Dr. Ian Stevenson's research on reincarnation can be searched on the internet which I'm sure will clear your disbelief of it as Dr Stevenson is not of a religion that believes in reincarnation. Also Sir Arthur Keith's scientific findings of the evolution of mankind proving Darwin theory is fascinating to learn.

I do not believe that Science has even came close to proving that Adam and Eve is just a story. I believe science proves the bible and many scientific theories that attempt to disprove it have scientific errors and bias because that is what those paying the bills want to hear. The study of everything in the heavens and on the earth and how exacting and complex testify to creation by God rather than one big accident. As for reincarnation because I believe the Bible it is appointed for man once to die and then the judgement......no second chance.

You may have great confidence in science, but science can not determine who didn't live 6000 years ago.

Your question is absurd and has nothing to do with your diatribe on reincarnation.

It takes more faith to believe that people come back as another person or some animal than it does to believe in a creator.

Also, what effect does a person reincarnating into a cow, or a rat, or some other creature have on evolution?

Just a thought.

The whole difficulty arises when you treat the story of Adam and Eve for its face value. It is an allegory. In Hindu Scriptures, there is exactly an allegory depicting two birds, standing before the papal tree. One bird, representing the jevatma, having enjoyed the sensual pleasures and the other representing Atman, finds peace within itself, as it is conscious of its immortal origin, not enamored of the worldly pleasures, are part of an allegory delineating the difference between two levels of consciousness. Unfortunately, the christian theology, takes this story literally and is unable to reconcile the difference between science and its theory. I am a religious person. I find no contradiction between religion and science. You need to transcend beyond religion and science to come to face to face with reality. God is truth and nothing but truth. You cannot swear by your science, as no scientist can be privy to the secrets of the universe. Religion is an attempt to fathom the secret, by experience and intuition. Science affirms what spiritual leaders realized long ago.

Look Siva if you are determined enough you will believe almost anything these days, there are more theories than you can take in,almost every week someone puts another theory out and like sheep we follow them, science cannot prove Adam and Eve are just a story, the folklore around them could well be seen as primitive description but other than this nothing else can be proven against it.

It's all fascinating as far as I am concerned. There is, however, another option few people consider and that would make everyone happy if they understood it. Our origins are not really of this Earth. We came here a long time ago to settle an issue. We have since forgotten what the point and and purpose really is. There is an agency on Earth whose sole purpose is to divert our attentions from the real issues. Even so, things are in place to settle things once and for all. It will be a real shocker to most people but this is the way it really is.

Science has never proved that Adam & Eve did not exist, & they have not proved that it is only a story. Do you know why these so call Sceincetists & Theology teachers has a title DR. for doctor, because that is about what they are a doctor without a answer, I am not afraid one bit to sit down with any so call doctor, & debate, If he will give me equal time. If you think about it hard enough, you can make yourself believe that you don't exist, But just pinch yourself, See if it don't hurt, In my 37 yrs. of serving God, I have heard of all these so call ideals, you have mention, & they have not yet convinced me any of their teachings, It only shows their stupidity.

Science has not proved the story of Adam and Eve one way or another. The only thing so far that scientist have been able to prove is that one human female human is the mother of all races and tribes on this earth (Wilson and Stoneking, U.Cal. Berkeley, 1/11/1988). No one has been able to prove Darwin's theory, doubt- but no facts.

because believing in God and in a religion is called faith, and faith is the trust in God and in His promises as made through Christ and the Scriptures by which humans are justified or saved. We believe because Science is based on facts and research and observation, if there was facts to everything like Science then there wouldn't be faith, the only religion that would probably exist would Scientology. And people still believe in God and the bible, because the bible is like a guidline to a positive way of thinking and just the thought of believing in something, is what some people base their whole belief system on...

Science hasn't actually proved that the Adam and Eve story is just a story. They have proved micro-evolution. I'm agnostic, so I lean more towards science than religion, BUT Christians will automatically see through the thinly-veiled attempt to negate Adam and Eve with the evolution theory.
