I assume that both the subject are normal in all aspects aside from being overweight and there's no other factor such as chronic diseases.

The answer should be the slimmer man. This is a basic reasoning by looking at the effect of starvation. When starvation occurs, our body will start to break down the storage form of carbohydrate, i.e. glycogen. However the glycogen reserve for an average sized man is only about 500gm and in a complete absence of food, the storage can only supply calorie for a few hours only.

Soon after the glycogen reserve is depleted, our body carries out gluconeogenesis which utilizes alternative sources to generate glucose to provide our body with energy. Examples of such alternative sources will be fat and protein.

Fat will be used first till it's depletion. And till the nearly depletion of fat, finally protein will be broken down to generate calories. And till this point, one will suffer from muscle wastage, viscera shrinkage, and etc. resulting from protein breakdown, and finally leads to ones' death.

In fact, the ability to combat starvation doesn't solely depend on amount of fat storage, it also depends on one's ability to combat ketosis and nitrogen retention, however I assumed that the latter two factors in the two person is the same thus negligible. Anyway in short, a fatter person should be able to stay longer.

For me . . .
I think the an overweight man will be the first one to die because I'm sure that he is used to eat many! And because their is no food he won't survive it!

While the slim man . . . he would have been very slim because he is already not eating food not three times a day! So he must be probably used to it.

So for me the answer is the overweight man!☺☻♥♦♣♠•â—˜â—‹â—™â™‚♀♪♫☼►◄↕‼¶§▬↨↑↓→←∟↔▲▼☺☻♥♦♣♠•â—˜

The skinny man .I will try to explain it this way, ok,say you are at the hospital and there is a bad storm outside, all of a sudden all the lights go out. The hospital has to do something because of all the respirators and things like that. So they go to there emergency back up compessure.Bingo they have lights. Almost same as a fat person. The brain is getting hungry and its not getting full the normal way so it goes to its emergency plan. It starts filling up on the fat.The overweight person can out live the skinny person a long time because it has all that fat. Skinny person has no emergency back up lights. So the body will shut down from hunger. I hope you can understand this and it helps a litt le. Take care now.
