Yes, the Bible says that the jews wanted Jesus crucified, so the Romans carried out the death penalty on him. A few more facts for you fact-fans:
1) Judea was an occupied country. Occupiers don't take orders from their population
2) The Bible was written by the newest members of the ROMAN church. Didn't anyone think to ask if it was in their interests to paint themselves in a good light? It must be kind of embarrassing to admit that you killed the person you now want everyone to revere.
3) The enemies of the early Roman church were the Jews who rejected Jesus as messiah. Paul had no reson to portray them sympathetically. Much better letthem take the blame for Christ's execution, even though it was ordered by Pilate (Roman) and carried out by Romans, using a cross (Roman method of capital punishment)
That's the problem with putting too much faith in a book of stories. You have to account for hidden agendas. Over the last 2000 years, the Jews have paid for Christians' reluctance to take responsibility for killing Jesus. But they should learn to deal with it.

Actually, those who say the Holocuast wasn't real do not do it because it "puts Germans in a bad light" they do it because they are anti semetic which, as we know, does not have to have a rational reason.
However, your comparison is inaccurate.
For starters, my understanding is that that movie was based on Gibson's interpretation of Christian Scriptures which is based on his Catholic sect. Other denominations may view it differently.
Secondly, you make the assumption that whatever is written in the New Testament is historically accurate. Since the Holocaust is a recent event of which therr are literaly thousands of documents, there is no comparison to the NT.
Now, I think that Jesus did exist and he was probably killed by the Romans but as to the exact circumstances as that came about I have no reason to judge it as historically accurate.
Thirdly, although there was protests from several quarters, I won't say that the Jewish community per se was "outraged". Most simply could not care less (and I among them). And even most of the protests were not merely due to that it "puts Jews in a bad light" but that "it put Jews in the same bad light that Christians for many centuries used as an excuse for anti semetism". In other words, they were worried that the movie may lead to anti semetism. I disagree, and events have proven that correct but it is certianly understandable.

I didn't understand why the Jewish community was so up in arms over The Passion movie. It is ancient history and the Romans were really the ones to ultimately make the decision to kill Jesus. I have been a Christian my whole life and I have never felt ill feelings toward the Jewish people or any other religion for that matter.

It's not that he wants to put them into a bad light. He simply tells the truth. That was the case. Jews asked for Christ to be crucified, but the Roman soldiers tortured him.
As for the holocaust, I really don't see how we could say that we can blame the Catholic church for the Holocaust

Look I am not a Jew hater by any means, but no matter what you say these days about them you are automatically labeled as such, this is the power and stigma of anti-semitisim, but you should not and cannot be silent about the wrongs of any nation for fear of being labeled, the Jewish authoritys hated Christ and railroaded Him to His death, many will tell you that it was the Romans fault and that they alone crucified Christ but this is a falsehood,Pilate tried his best to set Christ free but the Jews would not hear of it,they pushed and threatened Pilate untill he gave in to their murderous request,Gibson potrayed it in the light of reality and truth.

Jesus was crucified by the Romans at the Jews behest. This isn't a fiction. We shouldn't change history to keep people happy. The Turks at the moment are trying to deny that they ever killed or transported Armenians - to keep their nations conscience happy.
The truth, in all cases, will set you free.
We should always be loyal only to the truth.

I don't understand.According to the Bible, the Jews insist that Jesus has to be crucified, although Pilate Pontious find nothing wrong with Jesus. At last Pilate has to ordered Jesus to be crucified.
Mel Gibson is just reflecting what the Bible said, nothing wrong with it.

The fact that the movie is filled with a bunch of lies made by an anti-semite (Mel Gibson), is what made the Jewish community outraged! The movie is filled with untrue events and spiced up with major anti semitic things!
