because they are God's angels in our home. They love you and want to be a part of your life. Mine is 13 and she is so interested in what I am up to whenever I am puttering around the house. Just worry when they quit following you and just lay in a corner. They are worried about somethng...you know, sick. It can be sad. I have been through it with so many dogs. Sometimes I wish I had a little artsy fartsy retail store or something so I could take her to work with me. I am pretty head or over heals in love...lol. It also means you treat your dog right! Good luck

in one respect, it could be a good thing that she follows you. dogs are pack animals and if she follows you she sees you as the pack leader. and it's natural if not a little aggravating.
on the other hand, if she hasn't always followed you, it's possible that due to her age she doesn't feel right and doesn't want to be alone. if this is a new thing you may want to schedule a check up. her eyes or ears may be failing and it's unsettling so she wants the comfort you can provide.

Is it possible you smell like pork chops?
Some breeds of dog will chose one member of a family to spend their time with. As pack animals, dogs hate to be alone. If your dog thinks you are the pack leader, he will follow you unless he thinks he has a better option somewhere else (like someone who feeds him is preparing food).

If it is you they follow, ....then, YOU are the chosen one. You will forever be followed and worshipped by your canine companion. Every time you turn around, ... he will be there. Every time you step backwards, you'll hear that 'yelp'! Every time you sit on the toilet, you will be stared at. Every time you drop a crumb on the floor, it will immediately be picked up for you. YOU are the chosen one, only bestow love and compassion for your subordinant friend, (and a few milk-bones along the way), and you will forever be happy together. :)
