I just ignore them or in a very discreet way do something that will make them feel like an idiot!

it's mighty difficult for us as humans to do some things.dealing with people is one of them.there is no fixed formula for tackling arrogant people.
as far as possible, try avoiding such ppl.You stand to lose if you stick around them and they drive you bonkers all the time,it wastes a lot of your time since, you then keep thinking about the person and this gives way to bitterness and rivalry, none of which is good for you(buddy, this snatches away both your peace of mind and also your health,in the long run )
learn to forgive, it makes you a better human being ,which all of us want to be.
always remember that you can't change a person's character , no matter how hard you try.
i've myself struggled with ppl who are arrogant or too proud ,but my relationship with GOD has taught me quite a few things( and i definitely am looking forward for more of HIS guidance in my life)
all the best !!!

Arrogant doesn't necessarily mean attention seeker, though it can. Ignoring them can make you feel better, though it might not solve the problem. Sometimes it takes a shock to open their eyes. I have personal experience with this, since my husband and I are both a bit arrogant (unfortunately). He is not a very experienced driver, but he decided that I should not advise him at all when he is driving. Eventually, he got us into a fender bender because he did not listen to me.

You can't tackle with an arrogant person they know everything about everything. Just let them talk or walk away.Or don't answer their question when they really don't give a care about what you think.

Tackle arrogance with patience and tolerance! Arrogance will surrender eventually!

reach out to them

most arrogant people are not arrogant without a reason. find that reason and praise them for that reason. once you have broken the ice with them. tell them that you initially thought that they were very arrogant and everyone else said so too. but now you have found them to be very down to earth and humble.

It will genuinely change them - at least towards you. you will never find them arrogant towards you.

Run up to him real fast, crouch down, and pounce when he's not looking...

Just kidding...It is hard...especially people who are arrogant with no shred of merit about them.

Since I deal with one often, my best advice would be to remain polite and courteous, but don't back down when challenged. Keep an air of civility to any confrontation or conflict. If you remain collected, the better your chances of coming up with that brilliant statement that makes the arrogant jerks shut up right quick :)

The analogy is so simple :
Arrogant person is always the one who is unhappy and unfulfilled with himself. To hide and cover his imperfection, he strives hardly to be perfect. Arrogance is only the small result of his lack of happiness and self-fulfillment.

I would hide around the corner and jump them when they come around. Seriously, arrogant people usually have bad self images that they are trying to overcompensate for by putting others down. If you try to keep that in mind when you talk to them, it will make you feel sympathy for them and you can past the anger of their put-downs.

An arrogant person is one who has an exaggerated sense of his/her own importance or abilities. We have to ignore the hyperbole and deal with his/her actual value or capability.
