I think any airport in Canada that is served by Air Canada consider their traffic revenue important. Besides Westjet, AC is pretty much it for domestic, and most international, travel. Canada 3000 used to give them a run for the money, but even at their peak, had less than 10% of Canadian flight dollars. Zoom and Air Transat and Westjet, combined, still account for less than 20% of Canadian-originating flights.

Toronto is the busiest airport, because it's got all the international flights coming in and it's in the center of the country. Second is Montreal (Dorval airport - recently renamed Pierre Eliot Trudeau) and after that is either Vancouver or Calgary (I think theyre about equal)
