im an 18 year old guy and havent had se x yet. im on a gap year - im between finishing school and university, and im going travelling soon. basically i really want to have se x (just physically want to, its testosterone i guess) and i think it will be pretty easy to do when im travelling. however im not in a relationship and i know it would be a lot better with a girl i care about. im not a regretful person and if i had se x with some1 who i didnt know i wouldnt regret it, but i just think that my outlook on se x (and maybe even life?) for the future might be a lot more positive if i wait till its with some one i love so its special. so basically i dont know if i should have se x with some random girl (because i want the physical side, to get the first time out of the way - i feel inexperienced being a v irgin, and cos im young and free) or if i should wait till i find some one i care about. i want an intimate relationship with a girl more than i want se x.

When your travelling a lot will be going on. You might think it is the right time - if so go ahead.
If you really believe 'i want an intimate relationship with a girl more than i want se x.' then maybe you should wait.
At the end of the day if it feels right and you realy want to then go on. If you want a relationship you probably aren't going to get one travelling. Rather than debating it wait and see what happens.
I never waited and wish i had but i have no regrets about anything i did!

Don't listen to those people who say to wait until you are married or at least in a stable relationship. This is the 21st century! Have they ever heard of a condom? Any way, the main thing you have to worry about for your first time is being any good! My advice would be to read your sisters girly magazines. They're a mine of information about how to get it on. Then perhaps start seeing a girl, but don't get too involved. You should NOT lose your virginity to someone your own age or younger, as they will start thinking that you want to settle down and have babies etc. Try getting someone a bit older. They won't mind that your a virgin, in fact it will probably turn them on!
You might want to meet a girl whilst traveling, and perhaps travel with her for a bit before making your move. You will get to know them a bit, but, due to circumstance, you will not get too involved!
My last bit of advice is don't settle for a minger! You will only lose your virginity once, so make sure it's the fittest girl you can possibly get! Take it slowly! Don't concentrate on her t*ts and snatch, pretend that you actually care about giving her an orgasm. She will love it!
That reminds me of a joke! Why do women fake orgasms?

if you just do it "to get it over with" and experience it , well it won't be memorble. Try and wait til you are at least in a commited relationship. Even though I am Cathoic, I won't say wait til you get married, I didn't and not too many people do these days. Some do, but not too many. There are curiousities and I can see why you want to. Try and find someone special first and be safe....use a condom...and make sure she does not have AIDS or anything else.

you sound like a nice guy.... it's good that you want to have sex with someone you care for,maybe wait for marriage first there you can be sure with your feelings,plus virginity is the best gift a girl/guy can give ti his/her love. Maybe you wanting sex for physical purposes is just you hormones kicking in. Or your just nervous about facing the world? But let me tell you this having sexual intercourse with some random girl out of your country is not safe. You might end up having fatal desease. But if you really want to experience sexual intercourse but afraid of doing it just read some of paolo coelho's books especially 11 min. and you'll see why I recomend that book for you. :p hehehe

I have an idea for you....
Here's the thing: you want to have sex, your body and your mind want it. You are between the feeling of not to care about who is the first one and having a great remembering for the future by having your first sexual relationship with someone you love.
Since love is a very strange thing, it could come anytime, that means you could end up waiting for years.
Here is my plan: you don't have to care about who you have your first sexual relationship but just make sure you could fall in love of that person in the near future and viceversa.
What I mean is make the love part happen after having sex.
For this, try to get the following handled:
1) It would be great to find a sex partner within your area (comes in handy when you want to see the person more than once)
2) To find someone you are attracted to at first sight.
3) To find someone open enough to be attracted to you.
4) This person also needs to have a great sense of humor, intelligence and some other qualities you might like, in other words, you have to qualify this person before hand. Don't get the first one!!
Al of these points are easy enough to find out in a very short period of time for you to decide who is going to be more likely to be in love with and viceversa in the near future.
I did it with someone that first demonstrated me that was a funny, intelligent and warm person. Then we fell in love afterwards.
Don't worry if the "love" part doesn't come first, usually people get in love way after having sex, it's just natural.

The best time to lose virginity is when you are setteled, have ample bank balance and have a good paying and a stable job and when you think you are responsible enogh to take on the responibility of a marrige. Those who might be telling you that sex is an important factor in life are true but then again. When you lose your virginity you should be proud of it and not regrett it.

Don't lose your virginity until you find that special girl in your life. Experimenting with people randomly is setting yourself up for STD, unexpected girlfriend "Opps!" pregnancies, and future symptoms of prostate complications.

wait until it happens. if it happens it happens. but try to get to know the girl first rather than having a one- night stnd. you dont want to come off travelling with something nasty.
you never know, you might meet someone you like when travelling and could build a relationship with her.

I think you should wait. The emotional baggage acquired in having sex is not worth the sex. I am 22, and I am still waiting. I assure you, it is tempting sometimes, but I feel my virginity is the best gift I can give my husband.
