I, who was once Vista's biggest fan .... am starting to believe that .

it is .. the changes made in the look can be got from a transformation pack for XP if you wish to including the gloss effect elsewhere you can make the windows transparent .
others things are nice like a new windows media player and stuff but that Microsoft can offer to present users if it wants to .
i feel with the present Xp for which Microsoft will support till 2011 i feel it is a good product to stick by and Microsoft allows us to install some software versions running in vista in Xp .
as far as security goes we already have good companies doing a good job , no need to change a operating system for that which is costly . This is my opnion . for the fun of having something new and if we have money we can go for vista .. :)

Spyware? In a way, yes.
All it is is more idiotic, bloated, slow code.
Your computer will run slower, and you need to spend more money on upgrading for no good reason.
See their new transparent windows display?
It is just eye candy and doesn't improve upon the task of switching between windows. I can make a program to do that effect with XP and Win9x right now, but there's no point to it. That ridiculous effect sucks a lot of CPU time and memory compared to what we have now with XP.
Almost all of Microsoft's 'programmers' should be smacked in the head until they become CONSCIOUS and then FIRED and BLACK BALLED from ever getting another computer-related job.

All I can say about vista, is if your computer is more than a few months old, DO NOT try to upgrade, it just messes everything up, Now removed and gone back to XP.

Vista is odd ...full of tablet pc enhancements on bog standard laptops and desktops?
One day we will all have portable devices...a bit better than today's umpcs...and vista will just about make sense. Got an umpc? Got vista? Then you need the origami experience pack. What? They didn't tell you about this?
