IF I wanted to know what YOU believed, OR what someone else believed,
then I'd ask YOU or I'd go to the someone else and ask THEM what they
believe. You could probably explain yourself better than someone who
thought they knew. Today, many people think THEY KNOW what GOD BELIEVES, so they run to teach everyone else. but they never obeyed HIM
and did as James directed or they would all agree perfectly. Yes perfectly.
One faith, One hope, One doctrine! One faith, One Baptism. They are not
as one. Most do not even know what Doctrine they believe if you ask!
We should ALL at least have sense enough to LOVE one another -- and
especially to RESPECT those who as a whole do about 10,000 times
better at LIVING Christian lives than the rest of us.

Your answer is given by the Savior, although I will NOT attempt to quote HIM!
When approached by a person yak, yaking about another: The Lord [in so many words] replied: And what is that to you (mortal)?

What I have remembered from growing up is yes to the first, and the second is that some Native Americans have a link back to people who came from the area of Israel. However, there is nothing in the Book of Mormon that says other people could not have come at different times as well. See link below for more discussion on the matter - click on DNA evidence. Have a happy day.

The first one I've never heard, the second is a "yes" and a "no".

They explain the presence of the American Indians in North America in two migrations, one about 3000 BC (if I remember) and the second about 600 BC.

The second was a migration of Jews from Judea who moved across Asia, crossed the Pacific and landed in the New World.

Although it is not really "taught" where the Garden of Eden was, we do somewhat believe that it may have been there...we believe that Christ will return to Missouri...that is through modern revelation we know that.

1 Spring Hill is named by the Lord Adam-ondi-Ahman, because, said he, it is the place where Adam shall come to visit his people, or the Ancient of Days shall sit, as spoken of by Daniel the prophet.

Here is a link about Adam-ondi-Ahman

There was also a hymn written by W.W. Phelps entitled "Adam-ondi-Ahman"...in which he envisions that place.

LOL If that's true, Mormos are the most ridiculous pagan religion on earth. Shoot, even the old spaghetti monster someone mentions here all the time is more realistic than the Mormons beliefs.
