Dearheart, I'm assuming that you've not had a physical relationship with a man before, and really, if that is so, that's a good thing..... but let me say this, ok ? ....
From what I can gather of your question, you apparently had a dating relationship with this person, and it didn't work out, obviously. You seem to be attached to this person emotionally still.
Let me sort two things out for you.... there is a huge difference between sex and love. Sex takes. Love gives. That is the difference. Obviously this man is not in love with you, if he were, he would not have moved on. You're obviously having these feelings for him, but you're not getting it in return.
If you offer to sleep with this man, he'll probably take you up on that offer. Do you see the word "Take" there? It'd be sex, and it'd be "taking" from you, not giving of himself for the right reasons.
Sleeping with this man is not going to make you "forget", it's only going to fuel the feelings you're already having, and you won't affect him one bit. I believe once your sexual encounter came to a close, he would move on once again. And the situation is going to be even worse for you emotionally.
There are billions of people on this planet, so much of a selection. And there is a special person for you out there. And that special person deserves that special time with you in love, not sex. Remember, love gives, sex takes. If you settle for less, that is exactly what you will get. Don't you think you deserve better?
You need to convince yourself that this relationship is over. And you need to move on to bigger and better things. And when that special person comes along, THEN consider sharing that most special thing with him.....you're love. Believe me, it will be so much more fulfilling.

You only have a first time once in your life. I know it seems as if I'm stating the obvious, but think about it. Wouldn't you like it to be special? Has this guy given you any indication that he enjoys your company? Making love, having sex for a lot of women, certainly for me causes me to feel connected, closer to my man. It would make it harder to forget him. Afterwards, if he has nothing to do with you,It'll be worse. The way to get over this guy is to find a new guy who will treat you like a princess. You deserve that!

Depends really. Couples who couldnt forget about the past would most probably have an unconscious desire for the love-making. So doing nothing about it won't help either, if it makes u happy u should go ahead n try.

You sound very mixed up. Losing your virginity is a very big step and shouldn't be taken lightly. Your virginity is a very special gift that you will give to someone only when the time is right. Only you will know when the time is right and right now is not it.
If you need to forget him, don't give him something to remember YOU by.

You should not have your first time with somebody you do not love and do not want to be with. making love with somebody will attach you emotionally and make it impossible to forget them.
My advice would be to wait for the right person, and you will know when that person comes along and when you are ready.

tell u honetly for your first time you will never be able to forget him, ive it time (easier said then done) but DONOT sleep with him wait for you special somone who is in ur life constantly... REMEMBER it will only happen once... do you really want to look back in 10 years say that the most precious gift you can give to some one you gave to somone you just wnated to 'forget' :)

Definitely not! If anything it not only would make it harder to forget about him but you'll feel dirty if you only do it once, especially if you are a virgin! Save yourself for someone special. You got it all backwards.

Doing it with him will only get you attached to him for the rest of your life. YOU DO NOT WANT TO DO IT WITH HIM, WHICH EVER WAY YOU WANT TO LOOK AT IT, IT IS NOT WORTH IT. IN ORDER TO FORGET HIM... why would you sleep with someone that you are trying to forget?? you dont make much senses but I would say move on and find someone you want not someone you are trying to forget x
