Any one know the latan names for chow chows?

Latin Name: Canis familiaris

Rebecca is correct, there are no sub species under Canis familiaris (dog domestic) Chow Chow is their official name. Besides they are not Latin, they are Northern Chinese! hehehe

They are chinese hun..... If you dont know alot about them I would read as much as you can on them if you own one. I have owned 3 , all wonderful loving dogs All have passed on now, due to old age. Due to my homeoners ins adding themto the NO NO list I did not get another. They are getting harder to find.
However although i love the breed, they are not the dog for everyone. The are very protective, they are truly a woman family dog. They do not do well if the family gets rid of them for any reason. They could very easily get mean without the owner spending time with them, or teaching them manors.
Please think and do research on them if you own one.

I don't believe there are specific latin names for each breed of dog. Though I could be wrong!
Canis familiaris, for all domesticated dogs.
