the light attracts the bugs to the device

there are two grids - which are electrified - and in close proximity to one another, surrounding the light -

when the bugs head toward the light - their wings-legs make contact with both sets of grids and

ZAP!!!!!! - they are toast

that is why you may see a spark as the connection is made

Bugs has a sensor to detect ultraviolet.
Ultrviolet trap, has a stronger signal light for a fly.
That lamp attract the fly, so the fly must be came for it !

After they've close enough, the electricity shock them till die !

they get electrocuted on the metal grid. the violet light turns them on and they come to get some.
