2 me life is almost planned b4 ur born. Ur brought in2 this life 2 go 2 school 4 12 yrs, & need good enought grades 2 go 2 college or university, & need that in order 2 get a well enough job, u then meet someone, get married & have children, work 40-50yrs of ur life, then with children & work gone, u have nothing 2 fill ur day, & do nothing but truely wait 2 die. To me we are brainwashed in2 thinking that school, & having a family is what makes us successful, but y should we be slaves 4 ppl, & do their work only 2 make them richer, & bring in a living being into this world that we have a great chance of ruining their lives 4 our lives & jobs r more important? If were privileged enough to be born, then y not live our lives to the fullest? Explore our world that we should be greatful for, learn 2 take care of ourselves rather than others do it for us, not be controlled or overpowered by ppl no more important than u or i, & be free to live in this once beautiful world that weve killed

There's a lot about life in general that is far from satisfactory, but as individuals we can make the most of what we have and help others along the way. There is happiness to be found in relationships, work, and recreation. Many writers and philosophers have expressed their thoughts on 'Man's Fate'. If you haven't already seen it, the book 'Sophie's World' is a simple introduction to some of the best known philosophers. Keep smiling!

That's funny, because I feel the exact same way as you. My personal philosophy on life to to love and be happy. I'm a very happy person who looks forward to the future and marriage and kids and all that. I have a great family, great friends, and an amazing girlfriend. Yet, my favorite band in the world is AFI, which in their own right, is somewhat dark music with overtones of death, despair and sorrow. I think what draws me so much to their music is actually BECAUSE it's so drastically different to how I percieve the world. I cherish hope while their music praises hopelessness. I think I love the idea that the music can pull those thoughts and emotions out of me when life doesn't, you know? It's that connection that only music can have. It can create emotions that you don't normally show, feelings you don't normally feel, simply because you're listening. Music for me has always been my escape away from everyday life. And I think the fact that my favorite music is so opposite of me, my ideas, and my life... I feel more of an escape to listen to it. To go to a different place in my mind where hope doesn't prevail, and where we rejoice in singing the sorrow. I hope that made some sense. Great question, by the way.

I agree totally with you, so you just have to live your life as honestly as you can because like all animals it's all about power and survival of the fittest and if you disagree with this then maybe you are too human for this world or a freak (not in a bad way).Just do what you believe in within the limits that are present. What more can you do?

A very good outlook on life, and one I hope you live by and explore this great world that we live on. I have already become a slave to the system working for somebody else who does not appreciate me!

I wish to fly free and wonder world appreciating the diversity and beauty, but find it hard breaking away from the strict rules imposed on us from an early age.

Wishing you the best with your view on life.

Life is Honey
Life is Dew
Life is that beautiful thing
That HE gave me and you

Waste not life
For reasons few
Oh mortal wish
That binds me too

May right & wrong
Sink in you
Oh that Beauty
Is that you

God is Life
And Life is you
for once it comes
be it me or you

Then do just that.
Only do that which you really want to do.
For heaven's sake, don't have children unless you're really into that adventure!
