No the cat's personality doesn't change at all, it is the best thing to get them neutered / spayed cos it will stop all the un wanted kittens in the world..
It is a good idea to keep ur kitty indoors for a while to recover after the operation...give her plenty of love.....x

When a female cat is spayed ("neutering" is for male cats), an abdominal incision is required, as the ovaries must be removed. After the surgery, she will probably stay overnight at the vet's office. She should remain indoors for a few days - your vet should give you instructions after you pick her up. At ten months, your kitten is nearly an adult, and her personality is effectively established, so I wouldn't worry about a big change. If he gives you instructions that you don't understand, ask him/her to explain further, and to write down the instructions as well.

Female animals are spayed and male animals are neutered. It may change the personality for a few days due to surgical soreness, but your cat should be just fine

She will still be lively like all young things. Cats get quieter and more loving as they age.
Keep her in until the anasthetic has worn off.
It will be OK for her in a quiet garden after that.
If in busy area keep her in until the wound heals and she is not slowed down by the operation. She must be able to run to safety at normal speed.

No, it does not change the personality. But your cat will stay closer to home. I would suggest keeping the cat indoors always. It is much safer and healthier for the cat. There are too many dangers outside. Neighbors in particular will do your cat harm if they get on their vehicles or poop on their property.
If you love your cat keep her in where it is safe.

I might desire to trust Ocimom! 5 week previous kittens are no longer waiting to be re-homed. they do no longer seem to be waiting for the vast circulate. There may well be lots of problems with kittens that youthful. they do no longer seem to be muddle field experienced exact, they only began to verify. they have not been on stable nutrition long sufficient. they are nevertheless nursing. you may desire to wind up with very sick kittens by using fact they did no longer take to the re homing o.k. their immune device took a nostril dive and gets a URI, diarrhea or worse. i could extremely think of two times approximately getting kittens that youthful. 12 weeks is a robust age to get a kitten they are extra extra user-friendly to maintain muddle field experienced and are eating stable meals and function been socialized exact. 5 week previous kittens will nevertheless might desire to be pottied and probably bottle fed and that they won't take to the bottle at that age. getting your kitten spayed (you would get it neutered if it was a male) isnt likely to change its personality, it may change as it gets older but that will have nothing to do with getting her desexed.she might be out of character for a day or two but she will go back to being herself. It might be good to keep her in-doors for a few days. And all kittens are very lively
