MDF won't work outside, but exterior grade plywood works really well...and is cheaper in the long run.

HI, I don't think MDF is waterproof, it is not known for use outdoors, think twice, I would, better to spend a bit more on something you know is waterproof. Cheaper in the end!

There is an mdf that is suitable for use in bathrooms and kitchens, but not one you can use outside. Why not get your hands on some wooden fencing panels, or better still some hedging plants??

NO ITS NOT WATERPROOF. AND DONT TRY IT BECAUSE ITS TO EXPENSIVE TO DO TRIAL AND ERROR WITH. IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE IT MAKE SURE YOU USE A DUSTMASK WHEN CUTTING IT AS IT IS VERY DANGEROUS. LIKE WITH LEAD BRITAIN ARE ABOUT THE ONLY COUNTRY STILL USING IT. THER ARE PLENTY OF BETTER AND CHEAPER ALTERNATIVES OUT THERE

No, it swells up. You might get some protection by painting. Best to use marine ply.

It is not waterproof. It should be treated with creosote or you could use yacht varnish.
