In theory a gas turbine engine will run on any liquid which may well be vapourized and burned. So particular they might run on vehicle gas or mogas. yet with the aid of concerns which includes altitude, temprature and flaspoint etc , Jet airplane use jet gas. Jet gas has a intense flashpoint and an particularly low freezing factor (-47C) In civilian aviation that is termed JET-A. the defense force used JP-8. that is in basic terms like Jet-A, kerosene based yet is far less combustible, much less services to icing and much less unsafe for extra saftey. Anti corrosion additeves additionally are used.

I beleive it was France, however it was just a natural progression of 2 enemy spotter planes firing pistols at each other, and soon the idea of a mounted gun and or gunner was installed. as for who was first? Remember whoever wins the war, writes the book!!
we will likely never know who mounted the first machine gun to attack as a weapon.
