How does a woman deal with the fact that she has been given a promotion at work, only to find out that there are strings attached, she has found out that her boss is only giving her the promotion not only because she has slogged her guts out to achieve this, but because he has the intentions of bedding her.... and to report a man who has so much power to turn this situation around to his advantage leaving this as a "her word against his".... this woman fears not only losing her job, but to be also ridiculed within the work place, whats the best way to deal with such a situation?

Get your resume together, you'll be needing it soon. Unfortunately, you sacrificed and slaved away, only to find out that the real world doesn't promote hard work! There were probably signs along the way, but you did nothing to allay your fears and ignored the fact that once you got what you wanted, there might be dues left to pay. Even if you surround yourself with legal support, the arena in which you work may be an untenable situation to deal with day-in and day-out, so the only viable choice will be a lateral transfer to a new job. If you can still in fact get a referral...next time, keep your eyes open. You learned a valuable lesson some people never do!

She shouldn't sleep with him. She should work harder than she did before and keep records of how things have gotten better since she took the position (higher sales, productivity, whatever). If she works for a large company and he tries to fire her, she should be protected as a whistle blower; she just needs to tell the company's authorities BEFORE he says she's fired. If he's the owner or it's a small business, she should start with getting a lawyer now. Now is also a good time for her to revise her resumé and interview. Who knows she might find a better job before he gets fresh with her again.

Another option is to start wearing an engagement ring. If the boss asks for sex, she can deny on the basis that she's saving herself for her soon to be husband.

geezzz thats really is a difficult position as she may not hold enough evidence that he did ask her to bed him if she wants the promotion ....UNLESS she did record down the conversation (which she didnt expect in the first place to occur ) So , the chance of ppl believing in her is rather low , unless he has got the bad reputation or some other gals receive his offer as well n willing to stand up . ..sry i cant help but gd luck n may u make the wise decision n get over with this losser boss .

ask yourself! what works best for you? would you prefer to walk out with your dignity(remember...there are plenty of better jobs and better bosses) or would you succumb to your boss's wishes? Its up to you!
