you can find me in every trash can inside and outside of the house looking for it! id call the garbage prople and go and search the entire garbage they gathered for weeks if i have to!

Call whomever it was that issued me the check and request they stop payment on the previous check, and issue me a new one.
I'd be upset at the family member, but it was an accident, so there isn't much you can do. No use crying over spilled milk.

The only thing to do would be to ask the issuer to re-issue the check.
I think I would've popped a vein finding that check thrown away though

that like a dime to a dollar to me. No worries wouldnt even notice whether it went in my account or not. Ha ha obviously im joking punch them id say right in the nose then make them scavenge in the bin
