The best advice my father gave my husband-to-be was to move from the country where the job he had didnt have any prospects for moving up the ladder, and he was concerned that there wasnt going to be enough money to support a family. He moved and there has been! To me the best advice was never let go of God, and read your bible everyday:)

A car is the most lethal item you will ever own, you could kill a coach load off passengers just by being stupid, if you had a gun you would have to reload to kill that many people.

Respect the highway code and other road users, and always remember the quicker you are travelling the quicker you could die.

My father once told me that no matter what it was I wanted to do with my life that there should be nothing to hold me back but myself....and I should always have enough courage to try new things and experience new people places and things....He said that I could do and be anything that I set my mine....just as long as I kept my clothes on when i did it....

He always said "Love your mother, and be good to each other". ( my brothers and sisters originally but later on it included our families as well. He also said " Never go to bed angry". Sound advice from a man who was married 58 years to the same woman.

"Make sure you knicker elastic is tight enough", is what my Dad said to me one day. My children were staying at my parents house and i was having a night out with my mates. But thats my Dads sense of humour for you.

But he is always giving advice or should i say lectures so I find it hard to hear.

Always make sure you have a roof over your head
( dont move in with someone) dont put all your eggs in one basket.

I didn't heed it until it was too late ,
Hindsight eh!!!
