Hi there...alcohol causes coma in cats. Please discourage this as this can be lethal.

Not my cat but I have a dog that when someone opens a can of beer she runs over and will jump on you just to get some. It's really funny. She even knows the difference of opening a can of beer and opening a can of soda. We joke that she needs AA. HAHAHA Happy new year to you as well.

My cat is an alcoholic. She went to the local Cat's AA but she did not like it and quit. She has now started on hard liquor and I do not know what to do. I am afraid this is a bad example for my 8 year old daughter when she sees everday her favorite pet walking in thru the cat door everyday hardly able to stand up. Should I tell Fido enough is enough?

If your cat likes it ... why should you deny him.
Just don't let it him drink too much, and don't let him drink alone.... that's the sign of an alcoholic.... but as long as you drink together neither of you can be alcoholics.
I used to have a dog that loved to drink with me. It's often a bonding experience between owner and pet.

I wouldn't let them drink it, my kitten tries to eat or drink anything I have. She even stuck her whole face into a glass of my husband's Scotch! She sniffed and coughed and made a terrible face, You should not let them have beer.

Apparently yes, but it's bad for them. Get it some catnip instead.

well yes they can now that your cat just drank some but the question should be "SHOULD THEY DRINK BEER" and no they shouldnt its same with ppl...ppl shouldnt drink beer and cats shouldn't either you should keep the beer away from your kitty

Yes they can.
But that's not a good thing. It has the same effect like it has on humans. Why get it drunk and then make it have a hangover. It is just useless pain.
