That depends on how much weight you want to lose. And how much time and dedication you have to offer losing the weight. Your best bet it to do it slowly though, it will stay off better that way. This website, www.fitday.com, has a calorie counter that helps you keep track of your caloric intake each day. And if the food isn't there, you can add it. Eat 5 small means a day, and a meal isn't necessarily always sitting down and eating something of the 5 food groups, it also a snack like an apple or carrots. Do not cut out sugar. If you use artificial sweeteners you will only crave sugar even more (besides those sweeteners weren't originally approved by the FDA, all the doctors who studied the them said they were not fit for human consumption), but cut back greatly and cut out soda completely. Also no drinking alcohol, not even light beer. Set goals for your self. Small goals; like I want to lose X pounds by this date, and set a few of them so that your ultimate goal doesn't seem so difficult.
As far as exercises, join a gym and work out with a trainer. Honestly, that's the best way. But if that's not an option, then walking at first till you build up your stamina and then move onto harder aerobics. Again, though it's about balance, just like your diet. Balance aerobics with stretching and muscle training.
Good luck.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

You could join your local Slimming World group, the diet there means you more or less choose what you want to eat, you learn about portion control and the best types of food to eat together. Some of our members have lost nearly 2 stone in about that time. Remember though, that everyone loses at different rates and do not go on a faddy diet or starve yourself, you do not lose weight by not eating as your body just uses up the reserve fat in your body. Go along to your local leisure centre and ask the staff in the gym for advise on exercise for weight loss. Good luck.

dieting properly and safely you could lose about 1St 2lbs thats 16lbs in total. Best way to do this is to cut out 500Kcals a day from your diet and do cardio work for at least half an hour 4 days a week also doing some weights will help too. Focus on big muscle groups

I lost 52lbs BUT I must stress that this was after a long period of illness and inactivity and comfort eating. About 1-2lbs per week is healthy. I have kept my weight off for 3 1/2 years by exercising regularly but I eat what I like within reason.

Think about it this way ... How much healthier and slimmer can you be in four months ?.. how much better will you look ? what benefits are you hoping to gain from it ?
the weight doesnt really matter ... the most attractive thing in women is confidence and congruance .
Visualise your goal clearly in your mind everyday and do the right things everyday .. (eat healthily and excersice ) then you will get thr result you want ..
Good Luck ..

The key to losing weight is eating sensibly and jogging. Drinking water during your jogs will also help hydrate your clogged arteries. My suggestion after jogging would be to do stretches after a warm-up.
During a span of a week, I lost 5 lbs. of water weight, but I get discouraged when I do weight lifting and muscle training. I gain more muscle mass. But don't get discouraged because gaining muscle will increase your metabolism depending on your endurance.
It's best not to skip meals because you will program your body to reserve fat due to starvation. Doing so will discourage you from your endurance and you will feel horrible.
Good luck and health to you. Wish me luck too!

It depends on your current weight.
But I would say you could lose 10-15% of your body weight in 4 months (maximum). I weight 200. In 4 months, that would be 170-180 lbs in 4 months...final weight.
Anthing less than that would be overboard and unhealthy.

You could safely lose 17 pounds by maintaining a deficiency of 500 calories per day between what you eat and what you burn. That rate will lose a pound a week, and can be continued as long as necessary.

youll probally lose between 30-48 pounds depending on how much your working at it and giving up. Its not healthly to lose more than three-four pounds a week.
Eating healthy is huge and exercise. Running, walking, bike, anything thqat gets your heart racing.
