Most people says racial intolerance, religious intolerance, world wars, disease, energy etc. Are they really a threat to mankind?
I dont think so. Why???
Because these will not cause the extinction of human race itself. So the greatest threat will be from the one that causes extinction.
But which one will it be? Is it global warming, asteroid impacts (dinosaur extinction), or something else...
For me, its global warming...

Of course there are natural causes like what you said... but to me our biggest threat is ourselves...
Time has been wasted with races fighting over who is the best... it's really stupid and pointless if you ask me... we all are still humans with one heart, one brain... it's not like muslims have 12 eyes and 5 hearts while christians have 7 ears and 8 hearts...
Terrorism is another big issue... these terrorists want to make social tension! They want people to panic and create so much chaos to the extent that people will eat each other up!

One is we are raising a generation that is desensitized because of violent video games, tv shows,movies,etc.... Some young people are so indifferent to the importance of human life. Not all mind you, just a lot of that generation. Two, well I believe is Bio-chemical warfare. The movie Contagion (which I have not seen or do not want to see) is a prime example of this. Three, Our own selves, we are just coming complacent and we as Americans need to pull together to make sure America is in good shape and try to correct the wrongs and secure our land for future generations.

racial intolerance IS deadly...look what is happening in the middle east. some people are not happy unless you believe what they do and will force it upon you by deadly means. They say its all about money and the power of who has the most, and yes that does fund the bad guys but the worst part of it is , to me, being forced to behave in a manner that has nothing to do with the word of one's god, or being a devout follower. I love the fact this world has many different people and cultures, i just wish we could all appreciate one another without judgement....judging is supposed to be god's business. THE MOST THREAT in all of the above things you stated, is IGNORANCE!!! That about covers it all in my view.

there was a good episode of the Twilight Zone where a man has a box with the greatest threat to mankind inside, he opens it and there is a mirror with his own reflection in it, I don't know what that meant but a friend of mine said that Man is Mankinds biggest threat.

We are our own worst nightmare,but I think global warming is the result of that that will take us out.The bad thing is,it doesn't matter what you or I do,or any of the others that actually care,we all will share the same fate-the ones who care will die as horribly as the ones who don't.That just makes me really mad...
